This IKEA FAMILY & CAROUSELL REWARDS PROGRAMME (“Promotion”) is organised by Ikano Pte Ltd (“IKEA”) and Carousell Pte. Ltd (“CAROUSELL”). By participating in this Promotion, each Participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions below. Eligibility

  1. The Promotion is valid from 0000hrs, 21 April 2022 to 2359hrs, 30 June 2022 (both dates inclusive)
  2. In order to qualify as a Seller for this Promotion, the following requirements must be satisfied:
    1. The Participant shall have an IKEA Family membership account that is registered in Singapore; and
    2. The Participant shall have a Carousell account in Singapore.
  3. In order to qualify as a Buyer for this Promotion, the following requirements must be satisfied:
    1. The Participant shall have a Carousell account in Singapore.
  4. In order for a Carousell listing to qualify for this Promotion, the following requirements must be satisfied:
    1. Only secondhand Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listings on Carousell Singapore will be eligible for this Promotion;
    2. Only Carousell Protection-enabled listing with the word "IKEA" in listing title will be eligible for this Promotion;
    3. Only listings with IKEA product(s) will be eligible for this Promotion. Carousell and IKEA retain the right to reject any product listing that is not eligible;
    4. Only Carousell Protection orders where payment is made via Carousell Protection between 0000hrs, 21 April 2022 to 2359hrs, 30 June 2022 (both dates inclusive) are eligible for this Promotion; and
    5. Only Carousell Protection orders that are deemed to be successful by Carousell are eligible for this Promotion. Buyers are to mark the order as complete by tapping on 'Order received' on Carousell in order for the orders to deemed as successful.
  5. Only transactions that meet the aforementioned requirements under Clauses 2 to 4 qualify as a successful order (“Successful Order”). Carousell and IKEA reserves the right to determine the eligibility of each Successful Order and refuse the provision and/or utilisation of the Seller Reward or Buyer Reward if they reasonably believe that the Successful Order is in breach of the terms and conditions of the Campaign, unauthorised, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful.
  6. For every Successful Order made, Seller will receive a Carousell's in-app chat function message (known as “CarouDM”) with a Google Form from Carousell within 45 days after a Successful Order has been made. Seller must submit the online Google form communicated by Carousell via CarouDM within 7 days of receiving the CarouDM with his/her a valid IKEA Family membership ID to qualify for the Seller Reward. Upon submission of online google form communicated by Carousell via CarouDM within 7 days of receiving the CarouDM, points will be credited to the Seller’s IKEA Family account within 2 weeks.
  7. A Seller may list as many IKEA products as he/she wishes. However, the Seller will receive the Seller Reward only for a maximum of 3 Successful Orders per month per IKEA Family membership account.
  8. Subject to clauses 6 and 7, a Seller will receive 500 IKEA Family points for each Successful Order. The IKEA Family points will be valid for 2 years from the date of issue. IKEA Family points that are not redeemed within the validity period will automatically be forfeited without liability to the Seller.
  9. Each Buyer is only entitled to the Buyer Reward for a maximum of 3 Successful Orders per month per Carousell account.
  10. Subject to clause 9, for every Successful Order, the Buyer will receive SGD 5 Carousell Protection promo code that will be sent to the email that is registered with Carousell within 45 days from which the order was made. Each Carousell Protection promo code shall be valid for 30 days from the date of issue and may only be used with a minimum spending of SGD $20 for the Buyer’s next Carousell Protection order, for a one-time usage only. Carousell Protection promo code not redeemed within the validity period will automatically be forfeited without liability to the Buyer.

General

  1. Carousell and IKEA reserve the right to cancel any orders/rewards if fraud or similar activity is suspected with respect to any transactions made on Carousell. This includes redemption abuse, including redemption using multiple Carousell and/or IKEA accounts or multiple purchases associated with the same customer or group of customers.
  2. All Participants shall ensure that the mobile number and email address that are registered with Carousell and/or IKEA Family membership account are up to date before the commencement of the Promotion.
  3. Any cancelled or refunded Successful Orders will not be eligible for the rewards.
  4. Carousell and IKEA shall not be responsible for any delays, delivery failures, damages, or losses resulting from the use of any shipping services offered under Carousell Protection.
  5. Participants understand Carousell is a marketplace platform and IKEA shall not be responsible or held liable for loss or damage suffered or incurred by or in connection with any IKEA product listing.   6. Carousell and IKEA may vary these terms, suspend and/or terminate the Promotion without any notice or liability to any party.
  7. All rewards under the Promotion are not replaceable, transferable or exchangeable.
  8. Carousell and IKEA reserves the right to substitute or replace any rewards issued under the Promotion with any other rewards of similar value without prior notice, without liability to the eligible Buyers and Sellers.

This IKEA & CAROUSELL SECONDHAND SHOWROOM GIVEAWAY (“Contest”) is organised by Ikano Pte Ltd (“IKEA”) and Carousell Pte. Ltd (“CAROUSELL”). By participating in this Contest, each Participant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions below. Eligibility

  1. To participate in the Campaign and qualify as an eligible Carousell user (each, referred to as an “Eligible Carousell User” and collectively the “Eligible Carousell Users”), you must:
    1. have an Account in Singapore;
    2. comment on the Listing stating the reason as to why you should be selected (the “Comment”). All Comments must be submitted within the Campaign Period, 0000hrs, 21 April 2022 to 2359hrs, 8 May 2022 (both dates inclusive)
  2. Carousell and IKEA (the “Organisers”) will determine the six (6) winners of the Campaign (each a “Winner”, collectively known as “Winners”) based on the quality of the Comment.
  3. Without limiting the generality of the above provision:
    1. The Organisers reserves the right to draw a reserve winner to substitute the Winner whose account is subsequently found to be suspended or terminated and/or if any Content has been removed in accordance with the Terms of Service. Eligible Carousell Users whose accounts are otherwise suspended or terminated due to a breach of Carousell’s Terms of Service shall be disqualified and shall not be entitled to any payment or compensation whatsoever; and
    2. the following persons shall not be eligible to participate in the Campaign: (a) directors or employees/staff of the Organisers or any of the Organisers’ holding company and/or subsidiaries (if any) during the Campaign Period and their immediate family members; (b) employees and staff of any advertising agency, promotion agencies and/or other persons involved (directly or indirectly) in organising, promoting and/or conducting the Campaign and their immediate family members.
  4. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained herein, the Organisers have the discretion at any time and from time to time determine the eligibility of any Eligible Carousell User and/or eligibility of any listings by an Eligible Carousell User, and shall not be obliged to give any reason therefore.
  5. Prize

  6. Each Winner will be entitled to: The Item in the Listing that he/she commented on (the “Prize”).
  7. The Prizes will be displayed to the public in IKEA Tampines until Winners are announced. The Prizes will be given to Winners on an “as-is“ and “as available“ condition and Winners will not be entitled to a replacement or exchange of Prize.
  8. The Winner will be announced on the Carousell website and mobile application(s) by 17 May 2022.
  9. Each Eligible Carousell User is entitled to the Prize ONCE only.
  10. Carousell will contact the Winner via Carousell’s in-app chat and all relevant documents must be provided to Carousell within seven (7) working days from the date of notification ("Collection Period"). Any Prize that is not collected within the Collection Period will be automatically forfeited without liability to the Eligible Carousell User and the Organisers reserve the right to draw a reserve winner to substitute the Winner.
  11. The Winner will only receive their product between 25 - 29 July 2022. Arrangement will be made to deliver their Prize to the address and preferred delivery date and time slot that they provided to Carousell. Delivery services shall be provided by IKEA free-of-charge.
  12. The Prize under the Campaign is not replaceable, transferable or exchangeable. The Organisers reserve the right to substitute or replace any Prize issued under the Campaign with any other Prize of similar value without prior notice, without liability to the Eligible Carousell User.

General

  1. The Organisers shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in the Comments during the Campaign Period which may result in any Eligible Carousell User being omitted or disqualified.
  2. The Organisers’ determination of the Winner shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence or claims will be entertained.
  3. The Organisers shall not, at any time, be responsible or held liable for any loss, injury, damage or harm suffered or incurred by or in connection with the use of any Prize by the Winner or any person. Nothing in this agreement shall limit or exclude the liability of the Organisers for: (A) death or personal injury; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any liability that cannot otherwise be limited or excluded by applicable law.
  4. You consent, under the Personal Data Protection Act (Cap 26 of 2012), to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data, as provided for this Campaign, by/to Carousell and such other third party as Carousell may reasonably consider necessary as follows:
    1. for the purposes of processing your application under the Campaign and purchasing the Prizes (if applicable);
    2. to announce the Winner(s); and
    3. to contact and/or notify the relevant Eligible Carousell User of any updates regarding the Campaign and/or to collect/deliver the Prizes (via in-app message and/or email); and each Eligible Carousell User confirms that they agree to be bound by the terms of the Carousell Privacy Policy.
  5. You further agree that Carousell may collect, use and/or disclose your personal data to IKEA, its partners/affiliates, and/or other third party service providers that Carousell may engage from time to time, for the purposes of:
    1. delivering the Prizes;
    2. sending you marketing and/or promotional materials on the latest products and services of Carousell or carefully selected third parties;
    3. sending you occasional updates for special promotions, events and related activities organised or co-organised by Carousell. Carousell will not disclose your personal data to third parties except as provided herein or in accordance with the Carousell Privacy Policy. You can opt-out of receiving such updates from the “Settings” page of your Account. Should you wish at any time to withdraw your consent for the collection, use and/or disclosure of your personal data, please send an email to dpo@thecarousell.com.
  6. By participating in the Campaign, you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms and any other requirements set out in any related promotional material and all amendments, additions, replacements, modifications as may be made from time to time by the Organisers.
  7. The Organisers may vary these terms, suspend and/or terminate the Campaign without any notice or liability to any party.
  8. A person who is not an Eligible Carousell User may not enforce any of these terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act of Singapore and notwithstanding any term herein, the consent of any third party is not required for any variation (including any release or compromise of any liability) or termination of these terms.
  9. These terms are subject to Singapore law and you hereby submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

Sellers who are IKEA Family members can receive 500 IKEA Family points per order, up to a maximum of 3 successful orders per month. With every 500 points accumulated, you can earn $5 and redeem it instantly when you checkout in the stores.


Buyers can receive a $5 unique Carousell Protection promo code (with minimum $20 spend) for their next purchase on Carousell upon a successful order, up to a maximum of 3 successful orders per month.

    In collaboration, Carousell & IKEA have come together to launch a Rewards Programme for secondhand IKEA listings found on Carousell! The rewards programme is valid from 0000hrs, 21 April 2022 to 2359hrs, 30 June 2022 (both dates inclusive).

    For every successful Carousell Protection order of an eligible secondhand IKEA listing on Carousell Singapore, a seller will receive 500 IKEA Family points and the buyer will receive a $5 Carousell unique promo code (min. spend of $20).

  2. Who is eligible to join the Carousell x IKEA Rewards Progamme?

    The rewards programme is open for everyone! So long you have a Carousell account or/and a IKEA Family membership account, you're all set to be part of our rewards programme!

  3. What do I earn from the Carousell x IKEA Rewards Programme?

    For every successful Carousell Protection order of an eligible seondhand IKEA listing on Carousell Singapore, a seller will receive 500 IKEA Family point and the buyer will receive a SGD$5 Carousell unique promo code (min. spend of $20).

  4. How can I earn the rewards?

    Whether if you're a buyer or seller, all you have to do is to be part of a successful Carousell Protection order for a secondhand IKEA listing found on Carousell. The order has to fulfill the following criterias:

    • Only Carousell Protection-enabled listing with the word 'IKEA' in listing title will be eligible for this programme.

    As a seller:

    • You will receive a Carousell's in-app chat function message (known as “CarouDM”) within 45 days after the order is completed and successful

  6. How do I redeem my rewards?

    The Carousell Protection promo code can be used for your next Carousell Protection order. Simply apply the unique promo code during checkout in Carousell.

    With every 500 IKEA Family points accumulated, you can offset $5 for your next purchase instantly when you checkout in any IKEA stores using your IKEA Family membership card.

    Yes, the rewards have an expiry.

    $5 Carousell Protection promo code: Each unique promo code is valid for 30 days from the date of promo code received with a minimum spending of $20 for the next Carousell Protection order, for one-time usage only

    IKEA Family Points: Points earned in the current year will expire 2 years later on 31 Dec, based on the year the IKEA Family points are earned.

    Example: Points earned on 15 Jun 2022 will expire on 31 Dec 2024.

  8. Can I earn the rewards for orders made prior to the launch?

    No, only successful orders made between 0000hrs, 21 April 2022 to 2359hrs, 30 June 2022 (both dates inclusive) will be able to earn the rewards.

  9. Is there a limit to how many times I can earn the rewards?

    Yes, both seller and buyer can be rewarded up to a maximum of 3 successful orders per month per Carousell account and IKEA Family account.

  10. Is there a minimum spend to qualify for IKEA Family Points and/or Carousell Protection Promo Code?

    No. As we're all around driving circularity, it's okay to be giving away free listings and you will still be eligible for the reward

  11. Can I get both IKEA Family Points and Carousell Protection Promo Code?

    Yes, you are eligible for the IKEA Family Points if your secondhand IKEA item was successfully sold during the campaign period. Additionally, if you bought a Carousell protection-enabled IKEA listing during the campaign period, you are also eligible for the Carousell Protection Promo Code.

  12. If i have already hit the maximum 3 orders as a buyer, can I still receive my reward as a seller in the same month?

    Yes, you may still earn your reward as a seller in the same month which is also capped at 3 orders per month.

  13. If i have already hit the maximum 3 orders as a seller, can I still receive my reward as a buyer in the same month?

    Yes, you may still earn your reward as a buyer in the same month which is also capped at 3 orders per month.

  14. Is there an expiry to when this Rewards Programme will end?

    Yes, the Rewards Programme is available from 0000hrs, 21 April 2022 till 2359hrs, 30 June 2022 (both dates inclusive).

  15. If the order is cancelled/refunded, am I still eligible to earn the reward?

    No. For all orders that are cancelled/refunded, both seller and buyer will not be eligible for the Rewards Programme.

  16. What is Carousell Protection?

    Carousell Protection is an in-app payment and delivery feature that allows payment for items bought on Carousell through the supported payment methods.

  17. Am I able to schedule for delivery or meet up for the item?

    Yes, you are able to select either ‘delivery’ or ‘meet up with Carousell Protection’ option under the delivery method during check out.

As a buyer

  1. How do I ensure that my order is considered successful?

    Your order has to fulfill the following criterias:

    • Only secondhand Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listings on Carousell Singapore will be eligible for this programme.
    • Only Carousell Protection-enabled listing with the word 'IKEA' in listing title will be eligible for this programme.
    • Only listings with IKEA product(s) will be eligible for this programme. Kindly note that Carousell and IKEA retain the right to reject any product listing that is not eligible.

    Please chat with the seller first to understand why you have not received your parcel.     No, the Carousell Protection promo code is only applicable for Carousell Protection listings that are above $20 and the payment has to be done via Carousell Protection

  6. Is the Carousell Protection promo code transferrable?

    Promo code is non-transferrable & is valid for one-time use only.

  7. If I have received a Carousell Promo code from my successful order the previous month, am I able to use the promo code on another order this month?

    Yes, you are able to use the promo code on your new order. However, the listing / order has to fulfil the following criterias:

    • Only secondhand Carousell Protection-enabled IKEA listings on Carousell Singapore will be eligible for this programme.
    • Only Carousell Protection-enabled listing with the word 'IKEA' in listing title will be eligible for this programme.

  8. Am I still allowed to negotiate on the price with the seller before confirming on the order?

    Yes, we're always open to that human-to-human interaction for a better price deal.

  9. What if the order I have bought is a true IKEA item, but the listing does not include the word "IKEA"? Will I still be eligible for the reward programme?

    No, you will not be eligible for the reward if the listing title does not include the word "IKEA". However, you can share with the seller about this reward programme and get him/her to be part of it by changing the listing name before confirming on the order. This way, both of you will earn the reward as buyer and seller respectively.

  10. I do not have Carousell Protection, but can I make my payment by cash, credit cards, debit cards, paynow, or paylah!?

    No, only orders that are paid via Carousell Protection are eligible for this rewards programme.

  11. How do I pay via Carousell Protection?

    Tap on 'Buy' and then select your delivery method followed by payment method. Once that's done, tap on 'Place order' and you're all set! You can track the delivery of your order via the Carousell app.

As a seller

  1. What do i do if I haven't received the CarouDM?

    Please double check your CarouDM inbox. If you have not receive it within 45 days after your order has been completed, you may drop us a direct message via Carousell Facebook or Carousell Instagram account.

  2. How do i know if i have received my IKEA Family points?

    You can log in to your member portal at: https://family.ikea.com.sg/ to view your IKEA Family points upon submission of online google form communicated by Carousell after 2 weeks.

  3. What if i have not received my IKEA Family points after 2 weeks upon submission of online google form communicated by Carousell?

    Please drop Carousell a direct message via Carousell Facebook or Carousell Instagram account.

  4. Why have I not receive my payment for the order?

    You will receive payment once the buyer has has selected 'Order received' button on the app after receiving the item.

  5. Why are you asking for my IKEA Family membership number?

    Your order has successfully fulfilled all criterias for the rewards programme, where as a seller you will earn 500 IKEA Family Points. IKEA will require your IKEA Family membership number in order to credit the points to your account.

  6. What if I do not have an IKEA Family membership?

  7. Can I use my family members' IKEA Family membership to earn my rewards?

    Yes, however only a maximum of 3 successful orders per month will be rewarded for each IKEA Family account.

  8. Do you guys provide delivery services?

    No, Carousell do not provide any delivery services at the moment. Sellers & buyers can discuss on getting your own courier / delivery services.

  9. What if I am selling a secondhand IKEA item on Carousell, but it's not a Carousell Protection-enabled listing?

    To be eligible for the rewards programme, you will need to enable Carousell Protection for the listing. Kindly note that your buyer should also make the payment via Carousell Protection in order for the order to be deemed as a successful order.
